Chicago teachers spend $200-1000 of their own money on materials for their classrooms every year - basic materials like pencils, paper, and markers. The Teachers Resource Project gives teachers access to FREE classroom materials through a Chicago-based nonprofit, The WasteShed. The WasteShed rescues reusable arts and educational materials from the landfill and makes them available at ⅓ their retail cost.
We believe that being a teaching is hard enough, without having to pay for your students’ materials. Budgets are tight everywhere, but a little bit goes a long way! Even $20 a month can sponsor a Chicago teacher and the students that they serve.
The Teachers Resource Project will launch in Fall 2018. Join us in supporting education in Chicago!
